About Lois Sheinfeld

I have been an environmentalist, educator, and organic gardener-on both coasts- for over 30 years.  I served on the Environmental Law Committee of the Bar Association of the City of New York, where I chaired the subcommittee on pesticide use, and I received an Award of Merit from the American Rose Society for my writing on organic gardening.  I  wrote the garden column for Dan’s Papers in the Hamptons and have taught at New York University, and at Stanford, where I also served as University Ombudsman. Currently I teach classes at Brooklyn Botanic Garden on a wide range of garden subjects, and lecture for garden groups in the tri-state area.
